Juan, The Momotaro
Synopsis:
"Juan, the Momotaro", is a musical show based on one of the most popular children's stories in Japan called "Momotaro"; the mythical child born from a giant peach to fight evil with the company of a dog, a monkey and a pheasant; those who represent loyalty, wisdom and courage respectively come together for this feat. The protagonist in this story is a Nikkei-Mexican boy, who lives with his grandfather, a Japanese emigrant in Mexico.
This child, who is called Juan in Spanish, suffers the conflict of identity derived from his Japanese second name, which is Taro. Juan Taro, while experiencing the ancient legend of Momotaro during one of his dreams, discovers some of the ethical values contained in it and that are equivalent in both Mexican and Japanese culture.

Content:
Through this adventure, children will know some aspects of martial disciplines, such as Kendo, Sumo, Karate and some precepts and maxims of Japanese tradition; mentioned with proverbs and riddles. They will also know some representative elements of the Kabuki theater such as their makeup, clothing, choreography, movements and inflections very characteristic of Japanese culture and art, as well as other things.
